About SQL SIDE QUEST
Hello and welcome! I'm Daniel (you can call me Dan or Dani or danny), the sole developer on this project :)
This has been my passion project since January 2024. But things really kicked off in November 2024. The inspiration came when I was working part-time as an SQL instructor and, having always wanted to create games, I realized I had the perfect opportunity to merge those two interests and create what you see today: SQL SIDE QUEST.
You can think of this website as an interactive novel where you use SQL directly to solve mysteries and progress through the game's challenging narratives. All the stories are entirely self-written; I draw deep inspiration from the genres I grew up loving: sci-fi, space opera, post-apocalyptic, and Lovecraftian horror. I put a lot of passion and inspiration into the website, and my biggest hope is that you enjoy the game.
So whether you're seasoned in SQL or just starting out...
